Paula Bradshaw MLA has said she is “overwhelmed by the generosity and thoughtfulness” of Belfast residents after calling for donations to refugees and asylum seekers.
The South Belfast Alliance MLA was speaking after being inundated with clothes, winter coats, shoes, toys and books after her appeal to support the women and their children of the Northern Ireland Council of Refugees and Asylum Seekers “Women’s Integration Project”.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, these items mean so much. When you have only £37.95 per week to feed, wash, clothe and travel to school with your child these items are very expensive. Also, any children’s clothes are particularly appreciated! PM me and I’d be happy to collect, or drop them into my office at 100 University Street.”
